Meet our Assistant Principals
Mrs. Ortiz
Ms. Bradford
Hello, Bulldog family! I am Yvette Bradford, your seventh-grade assistant principal for the 2019-2020 school year. I am excited to start my 5th year at Hernandez Middle School and my 19th year in education. I have previously been an elementary PE teacher and middle and high school English teacher for eight years. For the past 10 years I have been serving as an assistant principal in Round Rock ISD. I truly believe in the greatness of all of our students! I'm thrilled about the great times and new experiences we will have together this year!
Mr. Teal
I am Stephen Teal. I am looking forward to my 2nd year at Hernandez Middle School as an Assistant Principal (8th grade) which will also be my 12th year in education. My wife and I recently celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary. Together, we have three grown children. In addition to spending time with my family, I enjoy running. It is my conviction that education provides opportunities that can transform lives.

What is IB?
IB stands for International Baccalaureate. The IB is celebrating their 50th year in education and has over 4,000 schools worldwide. It began as a program to provide educational continuity for military and expat families that were moving around the world and wanted a rigorous academic program for their children that would remain constant regardless of the country.
The Middle Years Program (MYP) at the middle school level are both an overlay to the district and state aligned curriculum. Each one focuses on the development of the whole student with TEN Learner Profile Traits, and its goal is for students to gain a global perspective while fully participating in their local communities.
