A Busy Spring

MECC Families,


It is hard to believe that we will be saying "See You Later" to many of our students. It seems like so many of them have physically grown during the last two weeks. Academically, they are on their way to the next grade!

Pictures

Graduation pictures will be taken for the students who are headed to Kindergarten next year. Students will wear a cap and gown, so they may leave their school clothes on.


ALL pictures purchases must be paid online, by check or money order. We will not accept cash.

School Uniforms & Uniform Drive

Students must wear school uniforms every day. We abide by the same guidelines as the elementary campuses. We would gladly accept donations and give free dress passes for those who can donate old uniforms.

Ice Cream Social

Families of students who will be entering Kindergarten are invited to come eat ice cream and meet the Kindergarten teachers. Join us in the cafeteria on Thursday, April 28 from 5:00-6:30.

CLI Assessment

Students at MECC complete the CLI assessment to track their learning and growth. Teachers should be sharing the results of Wave 3 of the tests.

PTA Changing to PTO

Our campus PTA is going to change into PTO in the upcoming months. The benefit of the change will be that we will not have to pay state dues to the PTA state organization. If you have questions, please let the campus know. This is a change for all MISD campuses.

Registration

April 11-13 is registration for new students of 2022-23. Students who are returning to MECC will need to do a Head Start application. If the registration was missed, we will have registration open again in June. If your student is going to Kindergarten, you will not need to attend Kindergarten registration. Your student has a place already. You will need to do the Skyward registration, also.
