In The Middle
A newsletter to and for the parents of CLMS - 10/20/18
Message from the Principal
It was short, but productive week. I hope that you and your kids were able to enjoy the great weather we had Thursday and Friday. The blustery days of fall are upon us.
I only have a few "newsy" items to share with you this week.
First - The Halloween Dance that will be held this Friday after school.
- Date - October 26, 2018
- Time - 2:30 PM - 5:15 PM
- Location - CLMS
- Cost $6
We will have a costume contest. The costumes need to fall inside of the school dress code.
$6.00 Gets you in and gets you some food - Concessions will be available. We will be selling tickets all week. We should have them wound up pretty good by the time you come and get them.
Your kiddos will just stay after school and you can pick.them up at 5:15 - Please don't pick them up early as that makes it difficult to manage.
Second - Conference Days are just around the corner.
- Dates - November 1st and 8th
- Times - 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM
- Location - CLMS - Various classrooms and spaces
Earlier this week I sent out the link to register for conferences. If you are anything like me, you would like to have it again. So here it is. - https://www.myconferencetime.com/clms
I do not know who found this program for the district, but it is slick! I hope you find it easy to use. If you get stuck, or have questions give the office a call and we can help you navigate the system.
We are all in this together.

Nice job!
Lost and not yet found.
Cool mornings and warm afternoons equals an abundance of sweatshirts, hats, and gloves left at school. Some of these are really nice. Some of these were the items that your children "could not live without" have a found a temporary home with us. But.... after conference they will be gone.
If you need a chuckle ask me to tell you the story of the lost and found at the last school I served. It involves my children and and slice of humble pie. - Ralph
I am a huge Ted Talk fan. Here is one idea worth spreading.
This talk is on mindsets. The key takeaway is YET.
