5th-8th Field Trip to Davidson Canyon with Ironwood Tree Experience, November 8th or 9th:

Civano Upper School students will be visiting Davidson Canyon with staff from the Ironwood Tree Experience, a non-profit youth outdoor experience organization (https://ironwoodtreeexperience.org). Joanna's crew (7th and 8th graders) will be attending on November 8th. Jana's crew (5th and 6th graders) will be attending November 9th. Please fill out the permission slip below for your child to attend.

Book Fair and Spirit Week:

Next week will be our annual Scholastic Book Fair. It will be housed at the Lower School campus, and will have books for all ages. It will be open before and after school and during Parent's Night-In on Tuesday night.


In celebration of the book fair, we will also be having a literacy themed spirit week! Here's the breakdown:


Monday: Fox in Socks Day (Wear your craziest socks!)

Tuesday: Oh, the Places You'll Go Day (dress for success)

Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday! (let your imagination go wild)

Thursday: Cat in the Hat Day (wear your crazy hat)

Friday: Favorite Book Character Day

Lower School Parent's Night-In and Book Fair, November 14th 6:00 - 7:30

The Lower School, K-4, will be hosting an open house format Parent's Night-In on the 14th from 6-7:30. Please stop by with your child so that they can show you around their classroom, walk you through a typical day and find out about their learning. The book fair will also be open for business that evening so that you can browse and shop together.

Wright Flight:

Information about the Wright Flight program was sent home last week in purple folders for all 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students. This is the second year for Wright Flight and it is a wonderful program that challenges students and encourages them to push themselves. Ms. Joy will have a parent info meeting on November 14th during Parent's Night In at the Lower School.
