News from Ms. Tornopsky
December Edition
Dear Franklin Families,
Welcome to December:
This year is just flying by as we enter into December. This is the last three weeks of the second quarter and the halfway point of the school year. This month classes will take the second Benchmark assessment through USA test prep and midterms for all our EOC courses. These assessments will be part of the second quarter grades, so it is important for students to put forth their best effort.
We have several activities coming up this month as well. The Holiday Shop is back LIVE! The students really enjoy the opportunity to purchase their own gifts for their families and parents will be able to send in a check for their student to do just that. We also have the Toy Drive and Santa breakfast, which is a great event to attend for free, enjoy several different activities, and earn a service hour. By the end of December, all families should have completed at least 4 of the service hours for the year.
Are you or someone you know looking for a job? We are still hiring classroom aides and have 3 more positions available. We also are always looking for substitute teachers. If you may be interested, please go to this link and apply: https://www.franklin-academy.org/employment
Sincerely,
Ms. Rena Roseff-Tornopsky

Student COVID Policy Update
Please read the updated COVID student policy on our website, which was updated 10/15/21:
In addition, when a student is quarantining or home with COVID all classwork should be posted to the teachers Google Classroom. This work can be accessed by all students. As long as a student is able to, health wise, they should be completing their work and submitting it to the teacher. While we are not permitted to do virtual teaching at this time, a student can request the teacher have a Google Meet, when the teacher is available, to help the student with any questions they may have.
Please contact the teacher with any questions regarding the posting of work, or available times. All students should have already joined the Google Classrooms for their teachers, if not, again please speak with the teacher.
If you have not opted out of your student wearing a mask, please be send them in with it. We can no longer supply masks on a daily basis. Students are asking for masks on a daily basis and we cannot sustain the supply at this time.
