Principal's Update - Mary Quigley

“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”

C.S. Lewis

Join me as we start this new year to dream about the potential and talents our students have to bring to the future. Our goal is to nurture their creativity and academic successes as they move into 2016. As we start the second half of the year we look forward to seeing their growth physically, emotionally and academically as they handle life's daily challenges.

Best wishes to all our families for a healthy and happy New Year!

WAS PTO President's UPDATE Michelle Lease

Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a terrific break. As we look to our next school year, I wanted to bring to your attention an urgent volunteer need with our After School Enrichment program. ASE is entirely run by the PTO and we are still in need of 3-4 people to take over our ASE program for next year. Since this is a volunteer-based program, unfortunately if we don't have any volunteers, we will not be able to have after school enrichment programs next year. We ask that you please consider if you have the time to volunteer for ASE. It's a very rewarding opportunity to shape the ASE program for the students and contribute to the PTO's biggest revenue generating fundraiser. A special thank you to our amazing current team of Alicia Ruggiero, Julie Carles & Rosemary Mannino who have done an excellent job over the past 2 years.

ASE Job Description: Responsible for reaching out to potential instructors, booking classes, creating the schedule and managing the program throughout the year. The ASE team has built up a substantial database of instructors/class ideas to pass on. Typically ASE is a 2 year volunteer commitment and the team does not need to be at school for any of the enrichment programs. This is great for either working or stay at home parents. Ideally we would like the new volunteers to shadow the team this spring. If you are interested, please email Thank you very much for your consideration!

This is also the time of year, we start looking for nominations for next years executive committee (vp, assistant treasurers, secretary) if you have any interest in being considered for a leadership position we would love to hear from you, please email us at

Winter ASE-Registration is this Thursday!
