Renovation Plans For Daniel Wright Junior High School

Big picture

Dear D103 Parents,

For the past two years, District 103 has been reviewing the space needs at Daniel Wright Junior High School. With our continued increasing student enrollment, the District needs to add additional classroom space to the school. In order to do this, the District administrative offices will move offsite and lease office space in the area. The vacated administrative office space will be renovated and will include new classrooms, (including a STEAM classroom), small group learning areas, a renovated learning center, an updated Family and Consumer Science classroom, and a more secure front entrance and school office. Due to the fiscal responsibility of the District, the project will be paid for out of available funds, and no referendum is needed.

The D103 Board of Education will continue its discussion of these plans at the Sept. 24, 2019 Board meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the Daniel Wright Library.

Thank you for your support of our schools as we continue to raise our Leaders in Learning.

Sincerely,

Scott Warren, Ed.D.
