Angelina Jolie is married to Brad Pitt. They have 6 children together. Some of them are their biological children, and some are adopted. She is a famous actress and humanitarian. Her career started when she was younger. She was able to gain populatrity quickly because she is really good at acting. Angelina Jolie has also been through some rough times in her life. From her mother dying of ovarian cancer at the age of 56 after fighting the disease for many years to releasing an article in may 2013 about her efforts to reduce the risks of having breast or ovarian cancer.
Angelina Jolie is a devoted humanitarian. She was made Goodwill Ambassador for the Un Refugee Agency in 2001. She also received the Global Humanitarian Action Award from the United Nations Association of the USA in 2005 for activism of refugee rights. She has made many headlines for her work to obtain refugees in plenty of different places around the world. Jolie first became personally aware of worldwide humanitarian crises while filming Tomb Raider in Cambodia. She eventually turned to The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the agency mandated to lead and co-ordinate international action to protect refugees and resolve refugee problems worldwide, for more information on international trouble spots. The Jolie-Pitt Foundation, dedicated to eradicating extreme rural poverty, proteting resources, and conserving wildlife donated $1 million to Doctors Without Borders, an internation medical humanitarian organization. Jolie has donated to plenty of charities, and has received many awards for all that she has done as one of the world's most famous actresses and humanitarians.
