Principal's Message
Greetings from the Principal's Office
It has been a spectacular week at JGKA! I want to commend our students and staff for the outstanding performance of A Small Part of the World. The musical was a huge success! Hearing our kids sing brought tears to my eyes. They were so precious! We want to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to our music teacher, Mrs. Pietranczyk for all of her hard work. She put countless hours into working with the kids, creating and painting the sets, and even had her husband working the sound system that night. We are so blessed to have her serving our children!
I would also like you to mark your calendar for our Awards Day programs. We will have a special program for our Little Giants on May 22nd and 23rd (See below for your child's date). Each child will be recognized for their hard work, and will take part in a special Bridging Ceremony. You won't want to miss it!
Love,
Mrs. Hansell
Field Day is Friday May 18th
Since the weather may be sunny, you may send in hats and sunglasses. If you are worried that your child might burn, you may send in sunscreen lotion and we will oversee your child applying it. Or, if you prefer, you can apply it in the morning before school.
We will provide water and cool treats for the kids!
FIRST GRADE FIELD TRIP
It is hard to believe that we are wrapping up our year, and planning to send our students off to first grade! It has been a great year for our students and we have enjoyed watching them grow academically and socially.
To help the transition to their elementary school next year, we have coordinated a field trip for our students. Our teaching staff will be taking all of our kids to their assigned schools on May 16th or 17th. It will be a short trip and will allow our students to see the building and meet the school staff.
We wanted to make you aware of these scheduled trips. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at (317) 782-2241.
Thanks for sharing your children with us this year; it has been a privilege teaching them!
