Box Tops for Education™
The deadline for our next collection of Box Tops is right around the corner. If every student contributed just 10 Box Tops, we could make a huge impact. Our collection will run until Friday, February 23, 2018. To make the submission process more efficient, we would appreciate your help as follows:
- Check the expiration date on your Boxtops--we cannot submit anything that has expired (must be dated after 3/1/18).
- Send in any Boxtops you have collected in a sealable (Ziploc-type) bag or envelope OR
- Tape or glue Box Tops on a collection sheet (one box top per space provided on the sheet), available under Forms at the LAF PTO website.
- Box Tops can be submitted to your child's teacher or to the basket in the LAF school office.
To Parents/Guardians of incoming 6th grade students 2018-2019 school year
It is a NJ State requirement for all incoming 6th grade students( 2018-19 year) to provide proof of the Tdap and Menactra vaccines. Typically your student will get these vaccines at their 11yo checkup.
Please plan accordingly when scheduling your child's physical exam, keep in mind the requirement to have the documentation in the Health office by August 16 , 2018.
You will not have access to your student's schedule until the documents are on file in the CMS Health Office.
If your child gets these vaccines while they are at Lafayette School (2017-18) please give the documentation to Sally Kelly RN.

Valentine's Day
In the coming weeks, you will most likely be receiving a class list from your child's teacher for Valentine's Day. Please remember that food related items are not allowed to be a part of Valentine's Day Cards. If students want to share Valentine's Day Cards, they must have one for each classmate. Your classroom teacher will be in touch with the room parents if a class party is being planned.
