Read Across America: Hop on Pop Day!
What a wonderful time students had reading with special "Pops" and Dads. We truly appreciate the effort you made to come into our classroom. I must use this quote from Dr. Seuss as I think it perfectly portrays how we felt about the afternoon: “You're never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child.” Thank you for being reading role models to your children. Enjoy all the pictures below!

Language Arts: we are reading Number the Stars by Lois Lowry. This historical fiction story illustrates the courage and commitment of the Danish Resistance forces as they miraculously smuggled nearly the entire Jewish population of 7,000 across the sea to Sweden. This book is filled with suspense, intrigue, and the power of the human spirit.
