Seneca is Celebrating our Veterans!
- 8th grade has been researching a famous veteran or learning more about a veteran they know and linking it into a window/mirror from English class (examples below).
- 7th grade is digging deeper about Veteran's Day during our World War I Unit.
- 6th grade is going to write thank you letters to veterans which will be dropped off at local retirement homes.
- Seneca will also have a moment of silence at 11:11 on 11/11 to commemorate our veterans and the original purpose of Armistice Day which ended the Great War.
Seneca's Staff are raising money for GIGOFund this Veteran's Day. Staff who donated to the cause will be wearing red, white, and blue jeans/pajamas on Friday, November 11th. If you would like to join us in supporting veterans and their families, feel free to donate here.
Unified Mental Health Team (UMHT)
Seneca’s UMHT: One of our goals is to provide families with information on community resources, access to basic needs, mental health and crisis counseling, reducing stress and anxiety, substance abuse resources, and resources to support learning. If interested, check out our resource page.

Great Work Ms. Smith and Mr. Hoang!
From: the LCPS Supervisor of Music, Michael Pierson
To: Dominion's Band Director, Ryan Rowles
Last night I viewed a video recording of your band’s performance at James Madison University. I want you to know that I was so impressed and moved by what I saw. I don’t think the DHS band has ever sounded better than what I heard in that recording. The visuals were captivating as well. I just wanted to take a moment to let you know that I could not be prouder of the program you all have built through collaboration with Seneca Ridge and want to thank each of you for the important steps you have taken over the years to support this wonderful program.
