IRISH DANCING
- From the late 7th to 8th century both in Irelandand in the Irsih missions in Europe.
- Known as the artwork survived & has influenced Irish dances costumes.

- Irish immigrants played a big part in early Texas History, because of a Carrot and Stick situation.
- "Stick"- The political and religious; they were suffering at home.
- "Carrot"- An area with enormous natural resources.
- After, The Battle of Kinsale, Ireland in 1602. Which they got defeated by the English.
- One of the first sons of the Emerald Isle who played a part in early Texas History was, Hugh O' Connor, bornin Dublin, in 1734.
- He was one of those who escaped to Spain, and later as Hugo O' Connor he served as the Spanish Governor of Texas from 1767-1770.
- 87 Irish- surnamed individuals settled in the Peter's Colony. Which included much of Present Day of North Central Texas in the 1840's.
