Tuesday, Sept 6 First Day of School!!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we say our final goodbyes before the end of the school year, I wanted to thank all of
you for making this year such a successful one, and for supporting me as I joined this extraordinary community.
We have so much to celebrate as a school,
-from our motivated, energized students to our strong ties to our local community;
-from our dedicated, hard-working, and passionate faculty to our beautifully renovated school;
-and from our high-achieving aspirations to our efforts in being kind to one another.
I do not know what more we could ask for in a school!
Thank you for trusting us to educate your children each and every day. Our staff cares tremendously about all of your children, and it makes us proud to see the progress they’ve made this year.
Thank you to the entire PiE Executive Board and all of the event chairs and volunteers that have helped make this year a memorable one for your children. Your contributions to our school are so appreciated and never taken for granted.
Thank you to our extremely supportive Board of Education for volunteering countless hours towards making a difference in our students' experiences here at DTS.
I wish everyone a safe, relaxing and enjoyable summer together with your children. Read
with them, play games with them, and encourage them to go outside and explore!
Have a wonderful and healthy summer everyone!
Sincerely,
Scott Lipson

Lost and Found
Our Lost and Found is starting to make it difficult to walk into the foyer of the building!
If your child has lost something throughout the year, please come by and pick it up!
We will soon be donating everything that has not been claimed.
Thank you for your cooperation!
Family Night in the Library
Mrs. Kirchberger will again be hosting DTS families in the Library during the summer. Bring the whole family to the library to read some books and take part in some hands-on activities.

The Learning Garden
Thanks to the Kindergarten Daisy Troop, the Learning Garden now has three new garden beds for visitors and students to enjoy! The Pollinator Garden Bed contains a variety of milkweeds and flowing plants that will attract and support a variety of pollinators that are essential to a healthy ecosystem. The Sensory Garden Bed will grow into a lovely display of plants varying in leaf and flower texture, scent and color. An Edible Garden Bed now contains peppers, tomatoes, basil, kale and rosemary for visitors (human and animal) to enjoy.
We encourage everyone to visit the garden to observe their plants as they grow and bloom this summer!

Speaking of summer…just like us, our plants (especially the young ones) need to stay hydrated to avoid withering in the heat. If you would like to help us maintain our wonderful outdoor learning space by volunteering to water plants and do light tidying please signup using the following link:
