Climate Change
by: Hannah Foye
What is global climate change?
Global climate change is the average climate of the world. The fundamental cause of the problem is the emissions that people are sending out. For example, carbon dioxide, methane and sulfur are some of gasses that are trapping heat. These gases trap energy from the sun which is heating our planet, but its heating our planet too much because there are so many emissions in the atmosphere. Some of the consequences are winters getting shorter/warmer, more powerful storms and an increase in sea levels due to the polar ice caps melting. Also the polar bears hunting habitat is decreasing because the of the ice melting.

What can we do to help?
We can take busses/carpool, only use thermostat when needed, swap incandescent light bulbs with florescent ones and turn off all lights and electronics when they are unneeded.
