A Message From Mr. Brown
Hello Huskies!
We made it to Spring Break! I hope you all enjoy a week with your children at home next week. Hopefully the weather cooperates and children can get outside and enjoy beautiful spring weather. If you are traveling, I wish you safe travels. Either way I hope that you enjoy your time together with students not at school next week.
When we return from the break we will begin the last stretch of school. This last part of the year is very important in many ways: making sure students are prepared for the summer and entering the next grade, trying their best on end of the year assessments and/or state tests, and enjoying fun activities like Field Day and the Variety Show.
Please encourage your children to do their personal best when they are taking the iReady assessments when we return from the break- these assessments are great opportunities for students to show their teachers and you as parents what they have learned this year. Thank you for your help with this motivation.
We have practiced some of the routines and procedures that were established at the beginning of the year, but please help us by reminding your children of our expectations for student attendance and treating everyone with kindness each day.
Again, be safe during the break and let’s return in April ready to begin doing our best to continue to grow for the remainder of the year!
It’s Grow Time Huskies!

Tabletop Mini-Golf
Recently, parents and some first graders played a round of tabletop mini-golf. Dr. Jett's fifth-grade EAGLE students created these games as part of their engineering unit. The unit started with the students learning about the Engineering Design Process. The students had lessons on physics and putting to understand how to play life-size mini-golf. After learning how to design to scale, students designed and constructed their tabletop games. The fifth graders used mean, median, and mode to establish PAR.
