Stand With Our Family in Sri Lanka
Urgent Prayers for Christians In Sri Lanka
From the Desk of Pastor Paul
Dear Friends,
As we worshiped Sunday, our hearts were broken for the tragedy which struck believers in Sri Lanka. I’m forwarding this email from Open Doors, who provide our monthly prayer guides for persecuted believers. You can read more about what happened and, if so desired, respond in different ways to let our brothers and sisters know they are not forgotten or alone. We are so blessed with our freedoms and we must stand with those who practice their faith at great cost!
Blessings,
Pastor Paul
P.S. If you donated money towards the Easter Lilies and would like to pick one up, please come by during business hours to do so.

Many are injured or grieving the loss of loved ones. Pray for strength and comfort and for His healing hand upon them. –Open Doors worker in Sri Lanka
On what should be the most joyful day of the year for Christians, tragedy struck our family in Sri Lanka. As Christians there gathered to celebrate Easter Sunday, a series of eight coordinated explosions hit three churches, as well as four hotels and a house.
With the latest death toll at nearly 300 and 500 more injured, our brothers and sisters have suffered one of the greatest attacks on Christians in Asia in recent history.
Open Doors has served the church in Sri Lanka for decades, and religious attacks of this scale and severity are unprecedented.
But on Easter Sunday, that all changed.
Our team in Sri Lanka is meeting with local church leaders and believers to encourage them they’re not alone. As the Body of Christ, we can stand with them in prayer. Take a minute to share your prayer on our Sri Lanka Prayer Wall and read the words of others praying with you.
We’re also evaluating the situation to determine the greatest needs of believers moving forward.
If you sense God calling you to give a gift to support persecuted Christians in Sri Lanka, you can find more information here.
Thank you for interceding for your family in Sri Lanka. As one of our team members there shared with us: “In the midst of all of these terrible events, we take comfort in the truth that He is risen. Thank you for mobilizing prayer for Sri Lanka.”
Let’s continue to be on our knees.
Best,
Lindy Lowry
