The last three weeks have been surreal. As this virus spreads and our mobility is curtailed it's quite frankly depressing. The anxiety it inflicts is stifling and the fear of what comes next is absolutely overwhelming.

And yet, through all of this, we as educators, are powering through to anchor our community through continuing to educate our students. I know it is not easy. I know we did not sign up to be "Distant Learning Educators." I would think it is better called "emergency remote teaching". (If you have the time or inclination AJ Juliani explains it well. ( I know many of you have zero desire to be on video. You'd much rather be in your classroom doing what you love and what you are trained to do. I know that you have kids and housemates that demand your attention during the 1.5-2.0 hours of instruction time. It's a lot.

I know that you can do this. I know that you are able. I know you will make a difference.

Our Executive Board and Negotiation Team (Council) have worked diligently with the district to reach agreements. Please know that flexibility is important as well as some structure. It's to

RIF Information

On March 29 "Notice of Participation" notices were mailed to all RIF employees that asked for a Hearing. The last page of the document asks for your signature and to return by Friday April 3rd. If you are working with our CTA attorneys, they will respond to the district for you. If you are not working with the attorneys, please be sure to send in your response.

15 Multiple Subject teachers' have been rescinded. HR is still working on bringing back more teachers.
