Early Pick-Ups

End of the day activities are important for your child's success. Teachers review homework, give reminders and finish up instruction. Early pick-ups not only interrupts teachers, but disrupts the end of the day for other students. Please help us limit disruptions by observing the following guidelines:

  • Notify the office, as early as you can, if you are picking up your child for an appointment.

  • Call before 2:30pm (1:30pm on Wednesdays) if you need to change your child's afterschool plans.

  • Do not pick up your child early to avoid parking lot congestion.

We want to team with you so your child has a positive learning environment.

EVERY DAY MATTERS

It doesn't matter whether absences are excused or unexcused, each missed day represents missed learning time. Missed days add up quickly. When a student misses a few as two days a month, that is 10% of the school year. This increases the risk of academic and social-emotional struggles.

Did you know?

  • Children who are chronically absent in kindergarten and 1st grade are much less likely to read at grade level by the end of 3rd grade?

  • Chronic Absenteeism can occur when students miss a day or two every few weeks.

  • Attendance is an important life skill that will help your child graduate from high school and keep a job.
