How to tell your student is being abused.

There are many signs of child abuse. Some may not be as visible as others. Some visible signs of child abuse may include changes in school behavior, avoiding going home or attending places with the abuser,and a lack of personal hygiene.

Some statistics.

More than 4 children die everyday because of child abuse.

Every year more than three million reports of child abuse are made.

78.3% of child abuse includes neglect.

The United Stated has some of the worst records as far as abuse and neglect.

If you suspect a child is being abused call a child abuse hotline -1-800-422-4453. When making the report describe the situation, explain your reasoning, include the child's behavior, and be sure to state your name. For more information look at this link.
