Drug Free is the Key!
During this national week of recognition toward drug and alcohol awareness, we will also be focusing on anti-bullying. Mrs. Urbanczyk our school counselor will be working with each grade level and class to help build student understanding of what the importance of these two very important topics.
We will have daily dress up days and the themes for each day are listed below. Please encourage your students to dress for the theme each day as there will be prizes given for best dressed each day.
Monday -- "Stomp out Drugs and Bullying" -- Wear Boots
Tuesday -- "Wear Red to Support RRW" -- Red Day
Wednesday -- "Fight Against Drugs and Bullying" -- Camouflage Day
Thursday -- "Hats off to living drug free!" -- Hat Day
Friday -- "Roughriders live Drug Free" -- Pink Out Day
We do ask you to avoid items for dress up that might be a distraction in the classroom such as wigs or large hats.
Please join us in celebrating and educating our students during Red Ribbon Week on these two very important topics.
5th Grade Goose Bumps Fieldtrip
Fifth grade students will be traveling to Amarillo for the Goose Bumps exhibit which is a great learning experience on the science of fear. This a great authentic learning experience for our fifth grade class.
We are limited in the number of parents or volunteers that would like to attend the fieldtrip, but we always need a few extra eyes and ears to support our student on these fun, interactive, and exciting learning experiences outside of the classroom. If you are interested please contact Mrs. Weiland. sweiland@boysranchisd.org
