Dr. Koop's Newsletter

April 6, 2023

Dear KRS Families,

Thank to every KRS parent/guardian for your participation in your parent/teacher conference this week. A positive and productive open relationship between teacher and parent(s), is a contributing factor to a student's success. We appreciate you and thank you!

The KRS Book Fair was a great success! It was such a joy to see the students so excited about books. Thank you to the KRS PTO for coordinating the fair and to the many parent volunteers for working at the fair.

Tomorrow, Friday, April 7, 2023, schools are closed for Good Friday. KRS students will return back to school on Monday, April 10, 2023.

Have a wonderful long weekend!

Sincerely,

Dr. Kathy Koop

News from School Counselor Mr. Levine

The Grove, a youth volunteer organization, is very grateful to the KRS student body that raised over 200 books for Good Grief! Good Grief supports families who have had a family member who has died. The books will be available to the children of these families when they come to Good Grief for the Community Support Nights. Because of the generosity of the KRS community, these children will be able to experience the joy, peace, escape, and comfort that can come when reading a wonderful book!

The picture shows 5th-grade volunteers sorting the books before they were loaded for delivery.
