6th Grade Camp- September 25 and 26
Camp forms are due Friday, September 12. Don't forget to hand in Ms. Stefanie's consent form for her study. If you need another, please ask.
Other reminders:
-Students need a lunch for Thursday. They should only pack enough food to eat, no extra. Their lunch should be packed in disposable containers. They will have to throw out what they don't eat. Students will not have time to go back to their cabins to put anything away after lunch.
-Watch the weather. We continue on with activities in rain or shine. Please be prepared.
-Medication needs to be accompanied with a note signed by a parent. The note should include dosage and timing.
-Lastly, please make sure that if your child needs a ride, they have it arranged before they leave for camp.

STAR Testing
After some technical difficulties, the classes finally got to STAR test this week. STAR testing is a great tool to help me see diagnostically where the students are at in their reading.
After STAR testing, the students looked at their silent reading books to make sure the books were at the child's level. Even though it is alright to have a book that is too easy or too hard once in a while, it is really important to have a book that is just right like Goldilocks.

Mrs. Wilson's Highs and Lows For the Week
Educational High- I am enjoying to continue to get to know my students personally and academically. I love the look of excitement on their faces when they recommend books to me.
Educational Low- The STAR testing website was giving us trouble on Monday (especially 3rd hour). I am grateful for their patience.
Personal High- My baby, Leo, is starting to sleep through the night!
Personal Low- As the students found out this week, I am slightly obsessed with 9/11. I feel the need to watch all the documentaries on the topic, which makes me extremely sad for those families who have lost loved ones.
