Weekly Report for October 15th, 2021
It was exciting to welcome back our students and staff from Fall Break this week!
We are at a critical time in the grading period as we begin the 2nd nine weeks. Please encourage your students to do their very best in each of their classes, in an effort to finish the semester on a positive note.
One of the greatest gifts we can give our children is the ability to read and form a love for the written word helping them to increase their knowledge and understanding of the world around them.
Our next parent site council meeting will take place on Monday, October 18th from 5-6 pm in the Hub (counseling area). We will have presentations from both our Science and Counseling departments. This is a great opportunity to learn more about GHS. All are welcome to attend!
Gilbert High School will be administering the PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test) to all currently enrolled 10th grade students free of cost on Tuesday, October 26th! The PSAT is a great primer for the SAT, and even the ACT, but it is more than just a trial run. PSAT scores are used to identify National Merit Scholars and award merit scholarships.
As always, thank you for your ongoing support of Gilbert High School!

Dear GHS Tiger Community:
We wanted to send home a quick reminder about our dress code. Here is a link to the Gilbert Public Schools and Gilbert High School Dress Code.
We expect all of our students to always be in dress code and to be the best versions of themselves here on campus. Please help us make sure that all of our students are dressed for success and school appropriate.
Some easy rules of thumb:
Make sure there are no inappropriate or negative messages on the clothing.
Make sure that your student does not have any undergarments showing (this is true for both boys and girls).
Make sure that your student’s midriff is covered.
Make sure that shorts and tops are of a modest design and not revealing (this is true for boys and girls).
