We are planning ahead for next year. We sent over 250 DCS background checks to Scott Co. DCS this year. We are happy that so many of our family members want to volunteer and spend time with our students. If you plan on volunteering any during the next school year, we are asking that you complete the DCS background check before the end of school this year. Please fill the following form out and send it back in with your student by no later than May 26th for each family member who may want to volunteer next year. We also have copies in the front office. To prevent any delays in processing these, we need all forms turned in as soon as possible. We will NOT be doing a kick off or collecting forms when school begins. Please Note: This collection of forms is for next school year and will allow us to begin with our volunteers on the first day of school.

If, during the 2016-2017 school year, you or any family member plans to do any of the following, we NEED you to fill out this form and turn it in no later than May 26:

-be a VFES Hero/Watch DOG

-volunteer in the classroom

-coach a school sport

-sponsor a school club

-chaperone a field trip

Happy Birthday!

We need your help making our school safe and making it run as smoothly as possible.

Please be sure that students are only dropped off and picked up by following school procedures and driving around the building to the side of the gymnasium. When students are dropped off in front of the building it causes safety concerns, as well as a traffic issue for the cars pulling away from the designated drop off area. Also, in the afternoons, please go through the car line unless you have an emergency and need to come in to get your child.

Lucas Toppe is Secretary for the Day at Vienna-Finley Elementary School!

Lucas Toppe accumulated 500 Accelerated Reader points to work with Mrs. Graves in the office as Secretary for a day! He did a magnificent job making classroom deliveries, answering the telephone, and helping around the office. He sorted and delivered over 300 trees to the classrooms for Earth Day, as well. Great job Lucas!
