Double Jointed

Hypermobility Syndrome

There is no such thing as double jointed, it is really called Hypermobility Syndrome. This syndrome allows the person to move their bone within their joint to its fullest capacity. This syndrome has more to do with soft tissue than anything.

Hypermobility Syndrome may be caused from misaligned joints and abnormally shapedf joints or bones.

The "symptoms" of this syndrome are sore joints. The ability to bend a joint farther to its fullest capacity.

There are a few treatments for Hypermobility Syndrome such as exercise, yoga, pretty much anything to strengthen the muscle around the particular joint. If you are to feel intense pain you should seek treatment immediately.
