State Superintendent Sentance Brings Optimistic Words to AASB
It was an honor to meet with Mr. Sentance, state superintendent, again at AASB (Alabama Association of School Boards). The board and I are optimistic about the reforms he has referenced working on to bring greater opportunities to our students, support for our teachers, and higher achievement to Alabama.
Impacting Future Educators
Technology Integration Specialists Aimee Bates and Sharon Drake recently presented at the We TEACH Conference at Athens State University. The We TEACH Conference is a premiere forum for high school students with the goal of becoming professional educators. Mrs. Bates and Mrs. Drake introduced digital BreakoutEDU to these prospective educators. The session was overflowing and the students in attendance had a wonderful experience. Thank you to these two educators who understand the value of sharing what they know and positively impacting future educators.

Pizza with the Principal!
Pizza with the Principal is always a hit! Students have the opportunity to be served pizza by Dr. Page if they have reached a 100 point goal in reading during the reporting period. Last week 31 students who had earned this reward were treated to pizza. For them, the only thing better than reading is eating pizza served by their principal.

Congratulations Anna Anderson and Amanda Stidham! These two outstanding CCPS educators were recently recognized as distinguished Athens State College of Education alumnae at the We TEACH Conference on the Athens State University Campus. We are proud of these wonderful teachers.
