Socrative by Mastery Connect
Formative assessments provide teachers with data on their students' understanding. This 5-question formative shows teachers what their students do and do not understand about P.R.I.D.E.
Data Informs Instruction
Assessment is an essential component to UbD because it is the evidence of students' understanding.
What Differentiation Is and Isn't
DI is...
providing instruction to meet the range of student needs
DI is...
using multiple resources and mediums for students.
DI is...
not reading a text from cover-to-cover.
Why is this relevant?
TKES Performance Standard 4: Differentiation states, "The teacher challenges and supports each student's learning by providing appropriate content and developing skills which address individual learning differences." The GaDOE cites the following findings:
- Instructional differentiation requires careful monitoring and assessment of student progress, as well as proper management of activities and behavior in the classroom.
- Effective teachers know and understand their students as individuals in terms of their abilities, achievement, learning styles, and needs to give greater emphasis to individualization in their teaching.
