Letter from Camie Wallace PTA President
Happy New Year’s Nichols PTA Members! WOW! It’s hard to believe that we have finished our 2nd nine-weeks and are now entering into our spring preparations. We are thrilled to announce that the playground shade structure has finally been installed. We are so thankful the PTA was able to fund this for the school!
We will be sending out a survey to all of our Nichols PTA members asking for your input as to what you would like to see the PTA purchase for our school. There are 3 option choices and an option for additional suggestions for future budget planning. The PTA truly appreciates the feedback from our members, so please fill out the survey once you receive it. More information will be sent out soon.
Have you ever considered being part of the Nichols PTA board? If so, now is the time to get involved! At our next PTA meeting on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, we will be selecting our nominating committee for the 2015 – 2016 Nichols PTA board. Interest forms, for all PTA positions, will be sent home sometime mid-February and will be due back before spring break. There will be executive board positions as well as committee chair positions available next year. If you’re interested, fill out the interest form and let your voice be heard!
Thank you for your time and commitment to the Nichols PTA!

I hope everyone signed up for the 21 DAY CHALLENGE during the week of January 12th!
What is the challenge??? The challenge is open to all Nichols students (and their family too)! We are challenging ourselves to make a healthy choice for a snack vs. something not so healthy!

The snack could be made from our “Kids Teaching Kids” Recipe Books or something creative on their own. Lots of fruits, vegetables and protein can always make a healthy snack!
Keep track of the days you ate healthy snacks on a calendar because after the challenge week - you will be entering your success on the website!
