Welcome Back
NLHS 2015-2016
Welcome Back to Our Students, Faculty, and Staff!
We have many new faces at NLHS.
Let's Meet Them!
Chuck Byers
Associate Principal Chuck Byers comes to New Lexington High School with 27 years administrative experience. Before that he served as an Industrial Arts teacher at Logan Middle School and Cambridge High School. Outside of school time Mr. Byers enjoys spending time with his wife and family, playing golf and wood working.
Mr. Byers and the faculty and staff of NLHS, believe in the promise of New Lexington Schools. Our students are that promise. We firmly believe that the education that our students receive here at New Lexington High School will determine the future of our community. Because of the visionary zeal of Superintendent Casey Coffey, the New Lexington City School Board of Education, and the NLHS teachers, our school is one of the most technologically connected schools in the state of Ohio. Every student at NLHS has an iPad, provided internet capabilities at school, and receives 21st century standards-based instruction. In addition, we meet the needs of our students by providing AP and Dual Credit Courses. New Lexington High School is proud to lead Perry County in academic innovation and extra-curricular excellence. We are blessed to have the support of our community who believe in the promise of New Lexington and I am blessed to be a part of such a wonderful school district.

James Stutzman
My name is James Stutzman and it is a great honor and privilege to be serving in such a wonderful school and community. For the past 2 years I have served as the Dean of Students at New Lexington Middle School. I am eager and excited about the opportunity to transition to New Lexington High School. I believe that each individual child has his or her own special key to the future. I also believe it is essential that parents and educators form a strong coalition to assist and direct each child in the process of unlocking a successful future. Therefore, I look forward to working with each and every student, parent/guardian, and educator in this process.
I attended undergraduate school in Indiana and received my Masters degree at Western Michigan University. I did additional work and received my Administrative Licensure while attending the University of Dayton. I am entering my 27th year in education. The first 25 years I served as a teacher and coach. I have experienced everything from kindergarten to the collegiate level as both an educator and coach. I hope to use the many years of experience in and out of the classroom to assist our school and students with the many challenges they will be facing.
I have been married for 8 years to my wife Sarah. We have one girl, Teagan, who turned 3 in early September. We recently welcomed our second child, Branson, in August. During our free time we love to travel. Some of our previous destinations have been: a few islands in the Caribbean, Italy, England, Ireland, Scotland, and many locations here in the U.S. We also love to go boating and jet skiing during the warmer summer months.

Luke Kline
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Lucas Kline and I am from Logan. I attended the University of Rio Grande for my undergraduate education. I then continued my education at Liberty University where I earned my masters degree in school counseling. My wife (Amy) and I have four children (Isabella, Sophia, Sylvia, and Asa). I joined New Lexington High school this year as the School Counselor and I could not be more excited!
As a School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, personal, and social development of all students. I look forward to offering support to the students, staff, families, and community. I will be meeting with students individually and in small groups during lunch, conducting classroom lessons, meeting with parents, collaborating with teachers and staff, and consulting with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of all students and families.
Any student can request to meet with me or they can be referred by a teacher, administrator, or parent. I encourage you to reach out if you have concerns regarding your child. If you would like for me to meet with your child please do not hesitate to contact me.
I am here to help students achieve their personal/social and academic goals, as well as provide support for the parents and teachers. I can be reached by email at nl_lkline@seovec.org or by phone at 740-342-3528. I’m excited to be here and I look forward to getting to know you and your children.
