Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence
Dear Parents and Students,
It is hard to believe the school year is winding down so quickly. Our prom will be this Saturday, and we all look forward to seeing over 500 students dressed up and ready to enjoy the evening. We also have our baseball team still in the playoffs, and we are rooting for them in game two tonight against Keller. As we continue to wind the year down, we ask that our students do their best to stay focused and finish strong. We have had an amazing year, and I want that momentum to carry us to the end. This week I have been honored to witness many of our seniors receive scholarships from local organizations based on community service and character. I say it all the time, "We have the BEST kids in North Texas." I also want to give a shout out to our LaCrosse teams (Boys and Girls) for the amazing season they are having and for representing our community so well. Good luck this weekend!
Please enjoy this week's edition of Panther Pause, and help us get all of our students to June!
As a current freshman student at CHHS, what advice could you offer to any incoming freshman student next year to better prepare them for high school?
The first bit of advice I would give is to always make sure to put your school work first. You may want to put athletics or extra-curricular activities first, but if you're not passing, you won't be able to do anything else. Also, if you aren't involved in any sports or programs, find one - there are over 100 programs and activities to choose from at CHHS. It always helps me to go to football whenever I've had a bad day at school. Find something you're good at and enjoy, and use it to get your mind off of homework or projects.
- Joe Sluder
Schedule as follows:

Game 2: Friday, 5/13/16 at 7pm

Come support your Panthers as they continue their playoff rounds! All voices of support are needed and greatly appreciated!
