All About Chorus

And Ms. Shook

How Chorus Works!

Chorus is an every other day elective class for 45 minutes. In my classroom I teach: note values, note names, dynamics, phrasing, vocal warm ups, sight reading, and how to read sheet music. Most of our days are constantly filled with singing! What a joy!

About Ms. Shook

Ms. Shook Bio

I am a graduate of Wingate University located in NC with a K 12 Music Education Degree. I had the honor of going through the Catawba County School district as a student and was so extremely moved by my teachers that I decided to pursue Music Education. My mother, Tammy Shook was the Choral Director at Arndt before I got the job. This Choral Dept. is held in a high regard and I LOVE MY JOB!!!

While at Wingate I had the privilege to take a 10 day trip to South Africa to work in an orphanage and sing with the Wits University Choir. This trip has forever changed my outlook on music and realizing that music connects many people with lots of diversity. In my free time I enjoy: Hiking, Kayaking, Painting, Cooking, Baking, Traveling, Family Time, Reading, Singing, Live Music, Going to the mountains, and decorating.
