Media/Technology
Technology:
If there are any electronic devices(boom boxes, desktop computers, cassette players, digital cameras, Promethean slates/votes etc.) that you are not using and don't foresee using next year or are in need of repair, please email me so that I can begin collecting these items before the last day of school. Please have these devices collected and labeled with a stick or piece of paper for me to pick up
Network concerns/issues--The district is looking at the issues we are having in our building. To help with seeing if older devices are causing some of our issues, the district is wanting to remove all working netbooks and is letting us borrow chromebooks through the end of the year. I have collected all the working netbooks and the 4 carts of loaner chromebooks will be here on Monday. I will place a set of chromebooks in each community when they arrive. Please feel free to use them. I am not sure how they are marked, so please take the whole set into your room when you are using them and replace them properly when you are done so that the district is getting their chromebooks returned at the end of the school year.
If you are having network issues(connections, no access etc), please email me so that we can have the district consider all problems.
Calling for all books. I am in the process of finishing the library book inventory. Can you please check your classroom libraries for any books with Aurora Frontier P-8 barcodes that are NOT textbooks and bring them down to the library. Many younger kids bring their library books back to school but they never leave the classroom, so their account has overdue books. Also, if you have any library books that are NOT in use, please bring them down as well. If you are using them that is OK, the last day for all books to be returned is May 26, 2016.
The end of the year is closer than it seems.... Look for overdue slips in your boxes on Thursday of this week. Overdue slips will be going home each week until the end of school. The last official day for students to check out books for at home reading was last week.

King Soopers Re-loadable Gift Cards ~
Aurora Frontier is now partnering with King Soopers to help raise money for Aurora Frontier! This fundraiser couldn’t be easier and is EZ Money!
Purchase a re-loadable gift card for $5.00 from Brandi Mabry or Shelly White and receive a card with $5.00 on it. Go to King Soopers and do your grocery and household shopping. Then just remember to reload your gift card on a separate transaction before your cashier begins scanning your groceries. Pay for your groceries every time you shop at King Soopers! Purchase your groceries and/or gas with your gift card you just loaded with the appropriate amount and save your gift card to reload and use the next time you buy groceries! It’s that easy! Pick one up for your friends and family to use and Aurora Frontier P-8 benefits!
Each time Aurora Frontier P-8 gift card purchases reach $5,000 or more worth of groceries (as a group), King Soopers will donate 5% back to Aurora Frontier PTO!
This fundraiser runs all year; there is no stop date!
Interested in PTO and supporting our students, please contact Brandi Mabry.
Have a great week! - Aurora Frontier P-8 PTO

School Supply Kits for Kids - Edukit ~
Introducing EduKit. Aurora Frontier P-8 has partnered with EduKit for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year to provide our parents with a simple and convenient option for purchasing school supplies.
Flyers will be passed out for Friday Folders this week so that families may start placing their orders before June 1st for free shipping!
We want to thank everyone for their help in preparing each grade's supply list for the EduKit for the 2016-2017 School Year.
Please note: Although ordering through Edukit makes shopping simple and easy for parents, participation in the program is completely voluntary for our families!
Please do not hesitate to let Brandi or Shelly know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your continued support and all you do for Aurora Frontier! - Brandi & Shelly
