Writer's Workshop
This week, writers explored the elements of fairy tales. Laying a foundation for this writing style will help the students as they move into adapting a fairy tale independently during writer's workshop!
Social Emotional Learning
Every week we have a half hour dedicated to social emotional learning. Our current focus has been on showing empathy. Students filled in Venn Diagram organizers this week as they compared themselves to another classmate! Understanding how we are similar and different helps when solving problems or resolving conflicts.
