Spell Check on Google Drive

There are a couple ways to check spelling in Google Docs.

To check the entire document, you can select Tools > Spelling, which will bring up spelling suggestions that you can either keep or ignore.

To check the spelling of an individual word, right click on the misspelled word (MACBOOK: hold down CONTROL and click on the word; CHROMEBOOK: hold down ALT and click on the word), and a menu will appear. At the top of the menu, it will say Did you mean: followed by spelling suggestions. Click on the correct suggestion to apply it to your document.

YouTube Kids

Google has just released YouTube Kids, a free iPhone and Android app* for tablets and smartphones. Children can browse age-appropriate content in four categories: shows, music, learning, and explore. Built-in control features allow parents to determine what content their children can access and when they can access it. Parents can also enable a timer to limit video browsing, as well as an online search that allows greater access to content.

*Currently, this app is not on our gen ed iPads.
