A grateful heart...
My heart is grateful for....
...Melanie, for covering Jennifer Spence's class recently. She has been a life-saver on more than one occasion this semester, and she's always willing to help with a smile!
...the entire SPED team for their team work, grace, endurance, and positive attitudes during an extremely difficult week. (Cindy, Annette, Shelly, Lydia, Deena, Mary plus Amanda and Erica, who are two behavior interventionists from the district)
....Jon and Angela, who helped grade Geo Bee tests
...Jeanette and Will, who worked on organizing the Geo Bee and managed to come up with the idea for us to have two teams since we had so many students do so well!
....Terri, for an amazing book fair!
....our kindergarten team, who can experience amazing and disgusting interactions in the same day with their students and still laugh about it.
...our first grade team, who accept other students without hesitating and works to help every one of them reach unbelievable heights.
...our second grade team for welcoming two new members and embracing ideas and thoughts of everyone in order to make themselves even stronger.
....our third grade team for their commitment to excellent instruction and their commitment to the conversations and time to make that happen.
....our fourth grade team who are always on the lookout for novel experiences to enrich the curriculum for their students.
...our fifth grade team for their acceptance and love for their students, who by now would be driving the rest of us absolutely nutty.
...specials for their support of each other and all of us as well. They surround each other when there are needs, and they don't hesitate to help when someone else is in need either.
...our SPED team for the previously mentioned reasons as well as their amazing cohesiveness. You would be surprised at the number of people who have shared how impressed they are at our team's ability to work well together because "it doesn't happen like that on other campuses."
....our office and supporting staff (Molly, Lauri, Angela, Jessica, Cyndi, Terri, Jon, Heidi, Marnie, Jeanette) who are always willing and eager to help out when someone has a need.

Our gift to you...
We'd love to pull an Oprah and say, "check under your seat" but we can't.
Our appreciation for you is much greater than our capacity for bestowing gifts.
But we know that little gestures can help communicate our gratitude for your commitment and dedication to our community and our kids.
We hope that jeans for the next 15 days are seen as a small token of our gratefulness...certainly not what your efforts are worth, but a nice thought when you don't have to struggle with what to wear in addition to everything else.
Please do continue to look professional...seasonal shirts and no holes, please!
