Eftir að herra Anschutz hætti við fyrirhugaða sölu á A.E.G árið 2013 hætti herra Leiweke hjá fyrirtækinu.
Herra Faxon yfirgaf EMI árið 2012, eftir að flókinn samningur uppá 4,1 miljarða dollara var samþyktur af evrópskum eftirlitsaðilum sem ætti að skopta EMI á milli Universal og Sony. Síðan þá hefur hann farið fyrir sínu eigin fjárfestingarfyrirtæki, A&R Fjárfestingar, og situr í stjórn ITV, breskrar sjónvarpsstöðvar.
Pandora Media is replacing two board members, both longtime investors, with music-industry veterans, the company announced Monday.
Timothy J. Leiweke, the chief executive of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment in Toronto, will join Pandora’s board immediately, and Roger Faxon, the former chief of the music conglomerate EMI, has been nominated and will stand for election at Pandora’s annual shareholders’ meeting on June 4, the company said.
Pandora has been trying to mend its frosty relationship with the music industry through promotional partnerships and data-sharing with artists. At the same time, Pandora is engaged in several major legal proceedings in which it is opposing music industry efforts to raise its royalty rates, an issue that has led to sharp criticism of Pandora by artists and advocacy groups.
Next week, the Copyright Royalty Board, a panel of federal judges in Washington, will begin hearings to set a royalty rate for the use of recordings by Internet radio services like Pandora and iHeartRadio. The rate the panel sets currently accounts for almost half of Pandora’s expenses, and the uncertainty around the proceedings has weighed on the company’s stock.
Before Mr. Leiweke joined Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, he was the chief executive of A.E.G., the sports and entertainment company controlled by the billionaire investor Philip F. Anschutz. After Mr. Anschutz called off a planned sale of A.E.G. in 2013, Mr. Leiweke left the company.
Mr. Faxon left EMI in 2012, after a complex $4.1 billion deal was approved by European regulators to split EMI between Universal and Sony. Since then he has led his own investment company, A&R Investments, and sits on the board of ITV, a British bro.adcaster.
The reason I choose this text is because it was challenging and interesting. I wanted to see what i could do to the translating on the text. when i choose it I kinda just looked at it and saw some challenging words and decided to try it out and see if I could manage. The methods I used were my friends and snara for few words.

Why You Should Go: TomorrowWorld is the American expansion of global phenomenon Tomorrowland, which is widely considered one of the most popular festivals in the world. 2013 was its first incarnation, and if they had to work out any kinks, they weren't all that noticeable. The festival's debut was a huge success and offers an experience unlike any other with its "Dreamville" camping area, and it's set to outdo itself in 2015. - See more at: http://www.fuse.tv/2015/01/best-music-festivals#16

Ted- John Legend- True colors.
I choose this video because John Legend is an amazing and talented singer. this song is also so beautiful and speaks to people in so many ways.
Robert Gupta: Music is medicine, music is sanity
Robert Gupta talks about a violin lesson he once gave to a brilliant, schizophrenic musician and what he learned. Called back onstage later. He also plays his own transcription of the prelude from Bach's Cello Suite No. 1.
I choose this video originally because I found the title interesting, but then I watched the video and it showed how much music can change you. It also showed what it means to people who has the talent to be able to make music.
Jared Ficklin: New ways to see music (with color! and fire!)
Jared Ficklin creates wild visualizations that let us see music, using color and even fire to analyze how sound makes us feel. He takes a brief digression to analyze the sound of a skatepark — and how audio can clue us in to developing creativity.
I choose this video because I found it amazing. How he combine the music with the fire and colors is awesome. Now we can see the music, which once we only could hear. how awesome is that!
