Geography - Volcan Tajumulco
This is one of the many volcanos in Guatamala. There are over 29 active volcanoes in Guatamala. This volcano is about 13,845ft above sea level.
Background Information
This country is in Latin America. The capital is Guatemala City, and some major city's are Villa Nueva, Flores, Caban, and Mixco. They used to be ruled by Spain but gained independence on Sept. 15, 1821. Also, there official language is Spanish. They border the North Pacific Ocean between El Salvador and Mexico.
Flag
There flag is blue and white. There are 2 blue stripes on the outside with a white stripe in the middle with their national bird in the middle. The 2 blue stripes are sky blue to represent the oceans that they are inbetween (Pacific and Atlantic). Also on there flag has the date that they gained independence from Spain.
Government
Guatemala has a constitutional Democratic Repunlic government. There leader is Presidenr Alejandro Maldonado.
Economy
Guatamala used Quetzlas as their currency. There economic system is capitalism.
