Ms. Davila's 2nd Grade Newsletter

Welcome parents!

A Little About Me!

Hello parents and welcome! My name is Kelly Davila and I am so excited to be your child's second grade teacher. We have so many things planned for this year and so many things to learn, but before we start let me tell you a little bit about me. I graduated the University of Houston with a Bachelors in Bilingual Education. I have a 5 year old son who is currently in Kindergarten and keeps me very active. On my free time I enjoy working out and reading. I look forward to working with you and your child towards a successful school year.

Let's Use Technology!

As we are approaching the middle of the school year I would like to introduce

to you a new website with lots of interactive games that are beneficial to our students who might need that extra push.

If your child is struggling with counting numbers or any other math topic that we have previously discussed and you have internet access please consider this website

http://mrnussbaum.com

It is a website that will help your child successfully master different topics in math. Each game that is on the website will help you child. The instructions on each game are clear, but I am always here to help if any questions arise. Please remember that to be able to be on level when they exit 2nd grade on to the 3rd grade they have to be able to accomplish this. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to call or email me.

Sincerely,

Ms. Davila

Absences

Please don't forget to send a note every time your child is absence. It is crucial for our attendance office to get these notes so that your child does not get an unexcused absence. You can also drop off the note at the front desk and they will give it to the attendance office. Please don't forget that the notes must have your hand written signature.
