I find it humorous this statement was made by John Dewey who passed away over a half a century ago! People are always changing - especially children - so we must change with them. Think about your own career in education. How many "new" strategies have you used in the last couple of years? Our society is moving at lightening speed, and often it is difficult to keep up. However, to reach kids and create productive future citizens, we have no choice. Just some thoughts to consider!

Honors Dance/Celebration

I will be hosting a dance/celebration with the kids on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 2:00 - 2:30. I am looking for anyone who would be available and/or willing to help during this time.

Leadership Instructional Rounds

The Leadership Team will be making rounds this Tuesday from 9:30 - 12:00. We will be visiting classrooms and are looking forward to seeing what's happening in your rooms. Remember to not be nervous when we come in your room. We are looking for what is going well and where we need improvement. Please DO NOT be concerned that we are there. We are excited to have the opportunity to come to classrooms as a team with the purpose of improving our school community. Due to Instructional Rounds being held during our weekly grade level time, I will not be present this week. Please let me know if you have any concerns or need my assistance this week. See me if you have any questions.

Welcome!

This week we will be welcoming Mrs. Shannon Murray to our team. She will be co-teaching with Ms. Slivka. She will be sharing a classroom with Mrs. Kopdylowski. Mrs. K is also returning this week from maternity leave. It will be so nice to have her back in the building. Make sure you welcome our new and returning team members!
