From The Principal

We have an exciting week ahead, with our Production shows for Y5 and Y6 almost ready to go!
Ticket information and links will be emailed home today for both year levels, but please note that our seating capacity is strictly limited due to the fire loading numbers in the School Hall. Each show has both a matinee and an evening performance, with a family allocation of 2 tickets per performance available. Any remaining unallocated tickets will be released next week.
You’ll be aware of the Public Holiday on Monday, 26 September for Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Day, with school closed for instruction, but please be reminded that the term ends at the usual time of 3pm next Friday.
A reminder that we also have a scheduled Teacher Only Day next term on Friday, 21 October (coinciding with the Labour Day Weekend). SKiDS will be available on site for those requiring cover on the Teacher Only Day.
Finally, next week we bid farewell to our long-serving Property Manager, Andrew Fisher.
After many years of work at the school and the myriad jobs large and small involved in this unique role, I know everyone will want to pass on their thanks and wish him well on his next steps.
From general maintenance to countless unexpected clean-ups, lawns, burst pipes, waste management, helping teachers with projects in class, security, working on school projects such as enviro initiatives and everything in between (including many hours coaching at lunchtimes and helping with sports events,) we thank Andrew and acknowledge his significant contribution to the school environment, with sincere best wishes for the future.
We will make an announcement on the appointment of our new Property Manager in due course, which we hope to have finalized at the start of Term 4.
We look forward to seeing many of you for an exciting final week of what has been a highly successful term!

Auction items
Perhaps you know someone who could offer an experience other families would enjoy, or a great deal on local products?
We can offer advertising, or other support, in exchange for goods, services, or extra helping hands on Fair day!
Please email us at menpspta@gmail.com or use this form to submit your auction item.
Many thanks to the awesome parents and caregivers that have put their hand up to help with stalls at the upcoming fair.
We still need help with only a few final roles to help with stalls on the day and in the lead up to the event on November 13th.
Help running the fun activities
On the day we will have lots of help to run all of the stalls in shifts, but in the lead up to the event we need to ensure each stall has everything ready to go. Fortunately we have run almost all of these activities before - so we have lots of experience to share from fair helpers that have moved on.
- Jousting bouncy castle
A new inflatable that will definitely prove popular. You will only need to manage the queue at the entrance and display the price. You will have several helpers during the day to collect money.
- Performance tent - various acts
The new and improved performance tent this year needs someone to schedule performance times with various dance/sport companies that have expressed interest in performing on the day.

Support our school by eating a delicious Roast at The Bridgman.
Seems too easy but $10 of every kids meal goes directly to our school funds. All you need to do is book your table and put MENPS into the ‘requests’ box and they will donate the profits of your kids meals back to the school.
Easy right?
Just book here - The Bridgman | Corner of Dominion & Valley Roads | Carefully curated food, drinks & cocktails.
