UCSD's SASEA Study at Vista Academy - FREE COVID-19 Testing for Students and Staff
We are excited to announce our collaboration with the UCSD Werheim School of Public Health on the Safer at School Early Alert Pilot, also known as SASEA. The SASEA study seeks to develop an early alert monitoring system for COVID-19 using wastewater samples.
As part of the study, all students and staff will have access to free COVID-19 testing.
Only students whose parents provide consent will be included in the COVID-19 testing. The test is non-invasive and will be an added benefit for our students as we enter the cold and flu season. With your help, UCSD hopes to develop an anonymous, low-cost COVID-19 monitoring system that can be used at schools and child cares across San Diego County.
For more information, check out the attached flyer, short video, or attend the town hall meeting about the study! This video is great for kids to learn about research and the SASEA study at Vista Academy.
