A Word from Mrs. Wolf
We are happy to welcome you to the 2018-2019 school year. Our school theme for this year is "Good Vibes in the Patriot Tribe" as we continue to seek positive relationships, mindsets and academic growth for students. We especially look forward to inviting our newest Patriots to our tribe, we hope you will find our school to be a happy place to learn and grow.
Earlier this summer, I was accomplishing one of my summer "to do list' items...cleaning the dreaded closet under the stairs. One item found in my cleaning was a picture of my very first group of students when I was a kindergarten teacher at Lincoln Elementary in 1994-1995. As I looked at the picture, I covered the names to see if I could remember the names of each child in the pictures. It was shocking to me that the memories of these little faces came flooding back to me. I don't know what happened to most of the children, but I remembered specific stories about each of them. Watching our teachers create relationships that will be remembered for years to come makes all our jobs that much more special. It helps to remind me that we are never accountable to solely a number, level or score, we are accountable to people. Thank you for being part of the GWES family and sharing your children with us.

Here is a story to watch together before the first day of school...
Teacher field trip
Chalk messages for our patriots!
Motivational ceremony for teachers
The night before school...
Kingsport children were restless, wiggly and some even giddy,
Their parents were ready, all but a few,
They didn't yet know what Washington could do...
Our teachers are prepped and have fresh new supplies,
But there is nothing like 20 new sets of eyes,
and their little faces, they inspire us, motivate us & help us serve our calling each day,
We hope to impact their hearts, their minds, and begin to pave their way
So on this first day, we know what's ahead,
Trust our love and knowledge as you kiss their sweet heads...
This year will be great, no doubt in my mind,
Being a PATRIOT is special, we know you will find.
See you soon!
