Now that our Counseling Department has expanded, we are hoping to offer peer groups in the next coming months. The potential peer groups we will be forming will focus on a social skill group and a group focusing on appropriate ways to handle anxiety. Groups are a safe place to talk about feelings, to learn and practice new coping/social skills, and to develop positive relationships with other children. Positive interaction and mutual respect are encouraged within the group setting. Participation in a small group builds self-esteem and respect for others.
