This lesson is designed so students learn about the role that Texas played in WWII and to engage students in thinking about how race, gender, and class influence historical perspectives and events. The biographies of the four Texans presented in the lesson when used together will demonstrate how WWII changed each of the participant’s lives and highlights the social issues and consequent changes in American society.

CSI 1963: Voices from the Crime Scene Search Unit

From the Museum's collection of artifacts, photographs, and films related to the crime scene investigation at The Texas School Book Depository, learn about crime scene techniques from the 1960s. See exactly what was in the crime scene investigative kit that belonged to Lt. Carl Day, head of the Dallas Police Crime Scene Search Unit in 1963. Students will also read firsthand accounts of the investigation from the Museum's Oral History Collection!
Unseen Forces: Physics at Work

Everything in our Universe moves and interacts, and forces play a major role in that movement. With giant cannons, a hovercraft, and other crazy demonstrations, Unseen Forces investigates the relationship between force and motion and explains how these unseen forces are at work in our daily lives.

Animal Encounter Programs
The Texas Wildlife Association (TWA) is in the process of moving offices. During this time of year, they typically offer a lot of Animal Encounter programs; Until their transition is complete, no live programs will be available; however, TWA has made several of their past programs available via recording, instead.
You can register for any of the four programs listed below and receive the recording link within 1-3 business days to view with your class when it's appropriate to your instructional needs.
