Attendance matters during remote learning!
Attendance messages begin Oct. 5
Students are in attendance when they make contact with a teacher or access Canvas within 24 hours on school days. If there is no contact or access, it will be counted as an absence, and you will receive a phone call, email, and text message. If your child performs one of these actions and an attendance message is sent in error, please let us know.
Messages will be sent around 4:45 p.m. for the previous school day and on Mondays if a student did not participate on the previous Friday. Absences can be excused by notifying the school within three days. To excuse an absence, you can call the school’s attendance line, reply to the email or enter the absence in your Family Access account.

Live Bell
This web application has the Skyview bell schedule in it and is an excellent way for students to keep track of their schedule during the day.
It was built by Kyle Wistrand, a student of Skyview High School from the class of 2015. He graduated from the University of Washington in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Informatics.
The app was developed independently from Skyview High School and the Vancouver School District.
Athletics
Beginning Monday, Oct 6, VPS will be allowing coaches to work with small "pods" of student-athletes in alignment with WIAA guidelines for Phase 2 of Washington's Safe Start plan. This is a unique opportunity for our athletic programs to lead and demonstrate how students can safely return to some form of in person activities in a responsible and safe manner. Listed below are documents needed for participation and a description of the guidelines that will be followed. Skyview Athletics is thankful for the opportunity to connect with our athletes during these times.
Students will need to complete and turn in the COVID Screening and Waiver Form prior to participating.
Coaches and student-athletes will need to strictly adhere to the COVID Workout Guidelines.
Coaches will also screen student-athletes each day for COVID symptoms and take and record temperatures.
All activities and workouts must occur outside of regular school hours so that there is no disruption to classes.
This is completely voluntary for both coaches and students.
Fall Virtual Games - Unified Sports!
Though we may not be at school, Special Olympics of Washington has created an experience that our athletes can participate in Virtually! The Skyview Athletics and Unified Rally Club is calling all Unified athletes and partners to participate in the 2020 Fall Virtual games representing Skyview High School.
Please see the flier with all information here

It does not provide service past the Columbia River or C-VAN paratransit, TriMet, or the Portland Streetcar.
