Getting Ready for ISTEP
The multiple choice portion for ISTEP testing is April 28 through May 13 Only 3rd, 4th & 5th graders take the ISTEP. Please be sure your child eats a GOOD breakfast every morning and gets plenty of sleep at night. Although the students receive ample breaks, it is a lot of work for them. Please reassure your child that no one is expected to know all of the answers. Just encourage him/her to their best.
Study Island is a wonderful tool correlated with the Indiana standards. Those standards are the same standards assessed in the ISTEP. Please try and set aside some time every day to practice. There is a link to Study Island on our website and your child knows his/her ID and password. More information regarding the ISTEP can be accessed by visiting www.doe.in.gov/ISTEP.
Parents We Need Your Help
'Grand-Friend' Day
The staff and students have set aside a few special days at school to provide an opportunity for grandparents or another special adult, to share time with a child at school. Due to our limited space, we ask that you limit the number of "grand-friends" attending.
We will be doing breakfast this year from 7:30 to 8:50 a.m.
- Menu:
- Eggs Extravaganza
- Cinnamon Rolls
- Toast and Bagels
- Fruit
- Juice
- Coffee
The cost will be $2.00 per guest. Student will use their lunch account for their meal. Adult/Guest meals can not be charged to the students account. Grand friends will come on the day coinciding with their grandchild’s last name.
- Tuesday, May 20-Student Last Name A-F
- Thursday, May 22-Student Last Name G-M
- Friday, May 23-Student Last Name N-Z
Call your grandfriend, have them check their calendars and join you for an exciting time! We look forward to an memorable time with all of the grandfriends!
