BJH Theatre

Exciting news from BJH Theatre...we have 3 more students invited to compete at the International Thespian Festival:

Reagan Hanacik (9th) - Duet Scene

Zoey Herring (9th) - Duet Scene

Mia Garcia (8th) - Monologue

This is an enormous accomplishment as a Freshman, and an absolutely insane accomplishment for an 8th grader.

To brag about Mia for a moment...not only did she compete against students who are juniors/ seniors in high school in the statewide competition, she received a PERFECT SCORE.

We could not be more proud to have these students represent our troupe!

BJH STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN THE CUPID CREW

NJHS, StuCo, and students at BJH were part of the cupid crew and wrote 213 valentines for 3 different nursing homes in the area. Cupid Crew is a nationwide effort to connect with older adults and send them love on Valentine's Day.

Offense was led by Sariah Crater with 15 points, Kynlee Horn and Charlotte Martinez with 6 points each, Genesis Morales and Reagan Bennett both scoring 4 points each and London Morgan with 2 points. Defensive pressure all night helped get us going after a slow start to the first quarter. We will continue our run to the championship Friday night against Heritage Middle School. The game will be played at BJH at 5. Come out and support the girls!!

FRESHMAN BOYS BASKETBALL

The Freshman boys finished up their season Tuesday night on the road against Hurst JH.

Both teams battled back and forth all game, but some late turnovers ended up being the difference as Hurst won with a final score of 50-43. Tre Sargent was the leading scorer with 14 and Caleb Walton had 7. Davion Robinson and D'mari Mosely both had several blocked shots in the game.

The team finishes with a record of 7-15. Look out for these guys to be big players at LD Bell in the coming years: whether on the court or on the Football field!

7TH GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL

The Bedford 7th grade boys’ basketball team played their opening game of the tournament Tuesday night against Hurst Jr High.

Coming out strong, the BJH boys took an early lead in the game. Keeping the momentum rolling, the boys never surrendered their lead until late in the fourth quarter. Big shots late in the game helped your BJH Broncos roar back against the Red Raiders of Hurst. Taking the victory against Hurst 36-39, the BJH boys will be in action Friday night 5 o'clock @ Smithfield Middle School.
