The Mission of Bennett Elementary School

Achieving excellence by educating and empowering all students to succeed.

Upcoming Dates:

Early Dismissal Student Departure Plan

Winter weather is upon us!

If school closes early due to weather, teachers will dismiss students according to the Early Dismissal Plan in PowerSchool. This plan is set each year by guardians in the Registration forms and notifies the teacher how your student(s) will get home when/if school closes early. Examples: Student is picked up at the classroom door, Student will ride the bus home, Student will walk home, etc.

Please review the plan you have created in PowerSchool, communicate it with your student, and make changes if your plan is out of date.

Attend to Win!

Stay Strong! Avoiding school absences through the winter months is crucial for academic success. Missing school and falling behind on assignments can create school-related anxiety that only gets worse as time goes on. Connect with a teacher or counselor if you are feeling behind or overwhelmed.

  • 7:50 am | Doors Open
  • 8:05 am | Classes Start

Our first bell rings at 7:50 AM. This is the time when students are allowed to go to their lockers and inside their classrooms. Students must be in their classrooms by 8:05 AM. The time from 7:50 to 8:05 is important for organizing, preparing for the day and getting a breakfast if your child would like. It is important for all of our students to be on time…meaning in the classroom and ready to learn by 8:05 AM. Attendance line: (701) 446-4000
