Chapter 11 lesson 2
Rylee Gorter
Momentum
Momentum is the mass of an object multiplied by it's velocity.
Ex: a baseball has more momentum than a tennis ball because it's heavier.
Newton's three laws
Newton's first law
An object at rest stays at rest, and an object in motion stays in motion unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
Newton's second law
The acceleration of an object depends on the force and mass of an object.
Newton's third law
Every action has an equal an opposite reaction.
Gravity
The force of actions among all objects.
